Following what is considered the worst mass shooting in U.S. history in recent years, a California-based pastor gave a heartless speech in his sermon Sunday night praising the gruesome attack.

Pastor Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church is making headlines after his cruel speech, where he compared the LGBT community to pedophiles and even felt upset that the 29-year-old killer, identified as Omar Mateen, "did not finish his job."

"People say, like: ‘Well, aren’t you sad that 50 sodomites died?’ Here’s the problem with that. It’s like the equivalent of asking me — what if you asked me: ’Hey, are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?’ “Um, no, I think that’s great. I think that helps society. You know, I think Orlando, Fla., is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is — I’m kind of upset that he didn’t finish the job!”

In a video that has since become viral, but was removed from YouTube for violating policy terms on hate speech, churchgoers are heard laughing in agreement in the background. At one point chants of "Amen" are heard when the pastor suggested authorities gather all gays and "blow their brains out" all at once.

Univision reporters caught up with the controversial pastor to confront him about the cold-hearted sermon.

"If the government was following God's rules, that's what they would do," said Jimenez on his comments about killing everyone in the LGBT community. With no remorse, he also stated that he would be OK with the violent act. Jimenez, who claims that his comments were "taken out of context," assures that he was not celebrating the Orlando shooting victims' deaths, but that he does not feel mournful about the situation.
