The 86th Annual Oscars is all we can think about! And now that we know the nominees in our favorite categories, we couldn’t be more thrilled. This morning, Australian hottie Chris Hemsworth joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president, Cheryl Boone Isaacs at the podium to present the nominees. And it made the announcements even sweeter with his sexy accent.

We also got super excited to know that some of our favorite Latinos causing major buzz this year were considered to take home one of the coveted golden statues. Alfonso Cuarón, for example was nominated for Best Director and Best Editing thanks to his film "Gravity." The movie is also nominated for "Best Picture," and Sandra Bullock as "Best Actress."

Emmanuel Lubezki got his sixth nomination for "Best Cinematography," also for "Gravity." And competing for "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" is our new favorite actress/fashion icon, the Kenyan-Mexican new star Lupita Nyong'o.

And not only was the announcement ceremony very exciting, but the actual Oscars will be something to look forward too especially now, since we know who’s competing against whom and since Ellen DeGeneres is going to be our lovely hostess this coming March 2 on ABC. Last year, the show celebrated the movie musical, but this year, movie heroes will be the center of our attention.

"The show will honor big-screen real-life heroes, super heroes, popular heroes and animated heroes, both past and present," the producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said, "as well as the bold filmmakers who bring them to life. Of course, there will be no shortage of comedy with Ellen DeGeneres as our host. There may also be a few musical surprises along the way.” So who are the lucky artists nominated?
