UPDATE: Pamela Silva Conde: Watch The Univision Anchor Co-Host 'The View' [VIDEO]

With Barbara Walters leaving "The View" the show is looking for a new host.

One of the reported options is a Hispanic co-host. The show has had quite a bit of diversity in the past with its hosts -- an African-American, an Asian, and a gay woman -- so it seems fitting that a Hispanic woman should join the team.

Univision's "Primer Impacto" co-anchor Pamela Silva Conde is supposedly being considered for the role and she will be tested when she sits with the ladies on Tuesday.

The Emmy-winning journalist was born in Lima, Peru and moved to Miami at the age of ten. She graduated from Florida International University with a degree in journalism. She received her first Emmy award in 2006 for on-camera talent and has won four Emmys since.

This isn't the first time the show roped in a Hispanic host, as in 2007, the show brought in Myrka Dellanos to fill in for Meredith Viera.

Walters announced her plans to retire in 2014 earlier this month.

"I promised you that if I had anything to announce about my future plans, I would announce it here first, so here it goes," the 83-year-old told the studio audience. "I am not walking into the sunset. I do not want to appear on another program or climb another mountain. I want instead to sit on a sunny field and admire the very gifted women -- and OK, some men too -- who will be taking my place."
