"Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" players along with "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" gamers will soon be able to get their hands on a free and rare Shiny Charizard. According to reports GAME in the UK have announced that they will be distributing serial codes to access the Shiny pokemon for Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X and Y starting April 3, with codes being unavailable after April 19.

The redeemable codes for the character will be made available upon request and no purchase is necessary. Gamers who pop into one of the stores can also pick up a Pokemon Trading Card Game: "XY Primal Clash" special Collector’s Album. No purchase is necessary for this either but the Collector’s Album will only be available while supplies last.

This news follows earlier reports that Gamestops in Germany were also holding their own Shiny Charizard giveaway. Serebii reports that this distribution will most likely be similar to the Shiny Charizard given in Japan last year. The code can be redeemed from April 1 to July 3 in all Generation VI Pokemon games. With two different regions getting Shiny Charizard's we assume its only a matter of time before the pokemon makes it way to the west.

More information on the spring promotion is available through the Pokemon website.
