Mexican actress Alejandra Espinoza stole the red carpet with her beautiful look for the Premios Juventud this year. The actress wore a kelly green dress with minimal jewelry and kept her makeup flawless with ombré hair. Makeup artist Franz Munoz -- you can follow him on Twitter @MakeupByFranz -- was responsible for creating her ethereal look.
For her makeup, Alejandra wanted a natural, yet polished, look. Franz used warm colors on her, including a light plum liner on eyes, coral on cheeks to give the look of a natural flush, and soft rosy lips to give a bit of contrast with her sexy green ivory bathing suit cover-up dress. The final look was a beachy, yet very sophisticated and elegant. To compliment Alejandra’s sexy green dress, Franz created voluminous beach waves to accentuate her sharp cheekbones. Alejandra wanted something simple, yet fresh.
STEP 1: Create a perfect canvas using L'Oréal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher ($24.99) as a skin primer to give a nice dewy, radiant complexion
STEP 2: Gently dab the L'Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup in Golden Beige($10.95) to contour. Blend in with the L'Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup in Caramel Beige ($10.95) to create a sun-kissed caramel glow. No powder needed to keep the look fresh and dewy.
STEP 3: For the eyes, apply the darkest shade from the L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad in Absolute Taupe ($9.99) over your entire eyelid and the medium-colored one in the crease. Use the lightest shade from L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad in Perpetual Nude ($9.99) along your brow bone. *Secret tip: Franz added a bit of Urban Decay Heavy Metal Loose Glitter in Goldmine ($12) to make the makeup more llamativo
STEP 4: To highlight the eyes, first add a winged line above the upper lash line with a fun summer green shade from L'Oréal Paris Silkissime Eyeliner by Infallible in True Teal ($8.99). Beneath the lower lash line use the L’Oreal Paris Silkissime Eyeliner by Infallible in Pure Purple ($8.99) as it’s a perfect color for daytime that plays well with tan to darker skin tones.
STEP 5: Apply two coats of L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara in Black ($7.99) to the upper lashes
STEP 4: On the apple of your cheeks, lightly dab the blush from Urban Decay’s NAKED FLUSHED in Native ($30) for a natural flush and highlight the cheek bones and nose with its built-in highlighter. STEP 5: Create a polished glossy lip using L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipcolour in Rose Melody ($9.99)
STEP 1: Start off with dry hair. Spray a bit of the L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray ($4.99) at the roots to give it more texture and volume.
STEP 2: Separate your hair into four sections and apply L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Weather Control Hairspray ($4.99) directly onto the areas you will be curling (about from about 3 inches down from the roots and 3 inches from the ends).
STEP 3: Place a 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch barrel curling iron about 3 inches from the roots and wrap medium sections of the hair around the barrel. Be sure to stay away from the ends.
STEP 4: Continue around the head until all hair is curled.
STEP 5: Finish the look with the L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand Smoother Serum Spray ($4.99) for a glossy, frizz-controlled finish
*TIP: To achieve a ombré similar to Alejandra’s new hair color, use the L'Oréal Paris Feria Wild Ombré in Medium to Dark Brown ($12.99)
