Among the many celebrities who strutted the star-studded blue carpet, we had the pleasure of talking to five of our favorite fresh stars: Maffio, Natti Natasha, Mozart La Para, Sharlene Taule and Cristal Marie. You may or may not be familiar with these names. However, let us introduce you to these Caribbean artists that we're very proud of, including one who was nominated at Premios Tu Mundo (Natti) and the other who performed at the awards show (Maffio). Also, don't forget to check out everything they told us in the video below!

The 28-year-old songstress, who was born in Santiago De Los Caballeros, was recently nominated for Party-Starting Song at Premios Tu Mundo with this year's smash hit. According to her, the nod already made her feel like a winner. Natti is one of the new faces in the male-dominated urban genre, and has already earned success and much respect with her debut 2012 album "All About Me." She is currently working on a sophomore production.

Maffio, 29
Maffio, whose birth name is Carlos Ariel Peralta, is a record producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. He's also the pioneer of the contagious Latin pop subgenre known as "merengue electronico." The artist, who was born in a poor neighborhood in Santo Domingo, has become a household name after producing hit records for artists such as Olga Tañon, Pitbull, Belinda and Elvis Crespo. Cristal Marie, 29
You may recognize Cristal Marie's voice from the opening theme song of the telenovela "Pecados Ajenos," where she sang alongside Jencarlos Canela, but little did you know that this songstress is full of surprises! She recently formed part of a Telemundo web series called "El Maestro Unplugged" hosted by iconic salsa singer Luis Enrique. During Premios Tu Mundo, she revealed that a whole new web series is on the way. Her latest single, "Feliz," is a vibrant track featuring Maffio. Cristal is also a winner of the Casandra Award (Dominican Republic's highest Honor in the music industry).

Sharlene Taule, 26
Sharlene Taule kicked off her career as an actress. She did theater including productions such as "Evita," "Les Miserables" and "Hairspray." Taule was best known for her character Katty in the popular kid's show "Grachi" on Nickelodeon Latinoamerica. Mozart La Para, 27
Speaking of Mozart La Para, the hip hop artist ---born Erickson Fernandez--- is all the rage in Dominican Republic!
