The biggest telenovela stars will shine tonight live from Mexico City in the annual gala of Premios TVyNovelas 2014, that honors the best in Televisa productions. This controversial award show brings out the passion from all the viewers as this is the major award show of the year. The glitz and glamour of the actors and actresses we see each night in the small screen reunite for this massive event. This year there are nine productions that made the cut and are nominated in different categories and those telenovelas are: "Amores Verdaderos," "Mentir Para Vivir," "Corazón Indomable," "Porque El Amor Manda," "La Tempestad," "De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero," "La Mujer Del Vendaval," "Que Bonito Amor" and "Libre Para Amarte." The most nominated telenovela of the night is "Mentir Para Vivir" with 14 nominations, closely followed by "Amores Verdaderos" with 13.

The top award of the night is Best Telenovela and out of the nine productions eligible this year, only five will be competing in that category. "Amores Verdaderos," "Mentir Para Vivir," "Corazón Indomable," "Porque El Amor Manda" and "De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero," will duke it out for the ultimate accolade. Another very competitive category are the Best Lead Actress category with Ana Brenda, Mayrín Villanueva, Erika Buenfil and Blanca Soto hoping to take home the prize. In the Best Lead Actor category Sebastián Rulli, Juan Diego Covarrubias, David Zepeda and Daniel Arenas will be vying for that accolade. A new category introduced this year is the Best Multiplatform Telenovela, which will honor the production that best used the second screen. The favorite to win in that category is "Mentir Para Vivir" as it was the first telenovela to have a mobile app tied to the production with users receiving messages from the characters on-screen as soon as an event happened.
