Ladies and gentlemen, judgement day has finally arrived! By the end of today we will find out who will be sworn in as our next POTUS. While the nation seems to be split, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump started his morning off with good news.

According to Us Weekly, Donald Trump has taken an early lead in the election. Midnight voting took place in three tiny towns in New Hampshire and Trump is ahead.

Although Democratic presidential nominee Hilary Clinton swept the first town to declare, Dixville Notch, the Republican candidate was winning by 32-25 overall.

While midnight voting seems unheard of, the state's law allows communities with fewer than 100 voters to open their polls at midnight.

The site reports that Dixville Notch voted 4-2 for Clinton with one person for Gary Johnson and a surprise write-in for the 2012 candidate Mitt Romney.

In Hart's Location, Clinton won the town over by an inch with a vote of 17-14 margin. Trump on the other hand, proved victorious in Millsfield with a big win of 16-4.

All three locations opened their polls at midnight and closed them as soon as the registered voters had placed their ballots.

Although Trump has been in the lead early this morning, things have changed quite quickly. In the national poll from USA Today, Clinton is in the lead with 45.5% and Trump is trailing with 42.2%. While the difference is very small it is important that we all do our civic duty and makes our voices be heard.

So far in New York, Clinton is winning by a landslide with 52.7% and Trump with 31.7%.

With less than 8 hours to go with this election, we can all agree that the results will forever impact how this country moves in the future.
