Pretty-Little-Liars-Season-3-1
Season 5 of "Pretty Little Liars" premieres on Juan 10 on ABC Family. ABC Family

So even though the “Pretty Little Liars” Season 5 premiere isn’t until June 10, there is just too much to discuss following the Season 4 finale to not talk about it! So even though you might be giving yourself a “Pretty Little Liars” break, there is no rest for the wicked, which means that “A” is still out there plotting away in Rosewood. The Season 4 finale, “A is for Answers” was for the most part the coveted episode most fans have been waiting for: Ali did really tell all, and finally fans were able to get the answers to those burning questions that have been building up since the inception of the series way back in 2010. But even though we did finally get the real story behind the night that Ali disappeared, in typical “Pretty Little Liars” fashion, when one door closes, two more open. Season 5 is already starting off with a ton of questions: Is Ezra really dead? Is Mrs. DiLaurentis dead? Who apparently killed her? Who is she protecting? Who tried to kill Ali in the first place? And of course, there's ever-present question of “A’s” identity! With all of these burning questions coming in to Season 5, we have broken down everything we know about the forthcoming new season!

Let’s start off simple. Ezra is not dead. Good news or bad news, for those of you who are either Ezra loyalists or have had enough of his writer’s intuition, he did not bite the bullet when “A” shot him with a bullet. Ian Harding, who plays the lovesick college student turned true crime creeper, revealed that Ezra survives the gun shot and fans will be seeing him in Season 5. Although the main question is: Will Aria ever forgive him? While I think there is no way to forgive this guy in the real world, fans already saw Aria’s clear emotional attachment to him in the Season 4 finale, as she started screaming and crying when he passed out. While normally we would say Ezra has no shot of redemption, this is Rosewood, which most likely means a large portion of Season 5 will be Ezra and Aria’s reconciliation.

As for other spoilers we know to be true ... Ali will be returning home to Rosewood. Sasha Pieterse revealed that Ali has to "figure out who she is. She's been hiding for so long, and she's a victim now.” Even though Ali is back home, things will certainly not be returning to normal. She abdicated her throne as Queen Bee years ago and it may be difficult to regain. Despite her former sadistic relationship with the Liars, it seems like she is genuinely remorseful and wants to make things right with her friends. Even though they have been willing to help her, the main question is will they be ready to let her back in to the fold? Hanna, Aria, Spencer and Emily have grown increasingly close since Ali’s disappearance, and her re-emergence may have some unforeseen backlash.

Another well known “Pretty Little Liars” face coming back to Rosewood is Caleb! Rejoice! Maybe we should hold our applause because new spoilers reveal Hanna’s ex-boyfriend will have chemistry with none other than Ali. Caleb will return to Rosewood following his hiatus in Ravenswood for Season 5, episode 5 and according to show creator Marlene King, he is a “changed person.” Apparently this means we should prepare for a Caleb, Hanna, and Ali love triangle, something that I am so not into.

Heartbreak may be the theme of Season 5 because a new source claims one notable “PLL” couple is spiraling out of control? Following the Season 4 finale episode, none of the couples in the series are doing too well, actually none of them are together, so this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. However, our guess is that Spencer and Toby’s wild ride of a romance gets even more hectic. He will most likely return from London expecting Spencer to be back to “regular” and that may not be the case.

Like we said above, Spencer’s return to a “healthier place” may be short lived. After Ali revealed that Spencer did not hurt her nor was it possible that she killed whomever is inhabiting Ali’s grave, Spencer seemed thoroughly relieved. This lifted weight will give Spencer the ability to take control of her life and her battle with Adderall addiction. However, it doesn’ take much to push the seemingly perfect Hastings back over the edge, even Troian Bellasario thinks so! Recently she revealed, "I think Spencer's never far from the dark side, and I think her whole character is based on a lot of fragility and darkness and I think that no matter what happens to her, she'll always carry that."

More bad news for Season 5: Lucas is back. Will he ever just be gone for good? Apparently not because Mona’s lapdog will be once again lurking the halls at Rosewood High. According to King, “Lucas will leave his bunk beds and head back to Rosewood High” in Season 5. Great. Just when we though the “A” team was finally dismantled, they all slowly begin to trickle back in. The main question is why now? And why return? Lucas seemed to leave Rosewood out of a serious fear, has the “A” threat finally been subdued? Most likely not, our guess is that Lucas has decided to slip back on his black hoody.

In addition to the return of a lot of notable “Pretty Little Liars” characters, there will be eve more new faces coming to Rosewood. Which means to me that the “A” suspect pool is only getting bigger, as we eliminated some people on the ever growing list in the Season 4 finale. Keegan Allen, who plays Spencer’s counterpart Toby, teased that there will be new characters in Season 5.

As for tying up some loose ends with “Ravenswood,” it seems like fans of the “PLL” spin off series are in luck, because they will finally be getting the answers to their burning supernaturally infused questions. It seems like the writers have heard some fans pleas, Joseph Dougherty admitted, “We are going to in a satisfactory way, as not to leave you hanging.” I personally just hope that they don’t get too hung up on “Ravenswood,” it got canceled for a reason, mainly because not even people cared to watch.

And last but certainly not least, seriously this is probably the most important spoilers, the 100th episode of “Pretty Little Liars” will include a big reveal. Season 5, episode 5 marks the 100th episode and apparently the epic episode is already in the works, like other series these landmark episodes normally showcase the return of past characters and revisit forgotten mysteries. And from what Marlene King is saying fans are going to be getting one huge mystery solved, "We're planning that episode right now, and I'm going to write the script," King told The Hollywood Reporter. "We hope that it's emotionally epic for us. There will be a big reveal, one of our mysteries that we've had for a long time on the show will be revealed in the 100th."
