Activists In Chile Launch Controversial Campaign On 'Accidental Abortion'
Abortion has been completely banned in seven countries across the world, and Chile is one of them. For this, a controversial campaign has been launched where three women give tutorials on how to have an “accidental abortion” so it won’t be considered a crime. With the hashtag #LEYabortoTERAPEUTICO on Twitter, the group is aiming for the legalization of therapeutic abortion, or legal termination of a pregnancy when the mother’s life is in danger, the mother has suffered of sexual abuse or rape, or the child has severe birth defects, as France 24 reports. President of Miles Chile, Claudia Dides, told CNN Chile the fictional scenes are “deliberately violent” to spark debate. Youtube
