Estrella TV just announced the names of the women that will take part in Season 5 of "Rica Famosa Latina" and we can't wait. First of all lets get to the names of the girls that are returning which are: Niurka Marcos, Luzelba Mansour and Sandra Vidal. That means that the following cast members have been axed from the show: Sissi Fleitas, Victoria del Rosal, Andrea García and Mayeli Rivera. The new additions to the show are: Mimí Lazo, Scarlet Ortiz, Ninette Ríos and Patricia de León. No premiere date has been revealed yet, but it will be in the month of September when the show returns to the Spanish-language network. Earlier this year Sissi announced that she was leaving the show. Fleitas took to social media to share the news will all of her followers weeks ago. "I will not be on the show," she wrote in an Instagram post with fellow cast mates Luzelba Mansour and Sandra Vidal. "We didn't reach an agreement and there are new things in my personal and professional life that now occupy my time. I know that the new casting is coming along great and that they will be able to entertain all of you at the level of production that characterizes 'Rica Famosa Latina.'"
Another member of the cast not returning is Mayeli Rivera, wife of Lupillo Rivera. After her intense fights with Vidal, we won't see any type of resolution between the two. Things during the last season got intense and it would've given audiences closure if they talked things out one last time to agree to disagree. Rivera will be starring on her own reality show on a different network.
Although Geraldine Bazán was rumored to be joining the show, it ultimately didn't materialize. The actress is the wife of Gabriel Soto and has participated in telenovelas like "Dueños del Paraíso," "La Mujer de Judas" and "Soñar No Cuesta Nada." Rumors of Bazán joining the show were fueled by photos of her and Niurka filming around Cuba. There was never confirmation that they were working on the Estrella TV show, so it's unclear if they were and if they would use the tapings or scrap them all together.
Scarlet Ortiz is a Venezuelan actress best known for her roles in telenovelas like "Secreto de Amor", "Todos Quieren Con Marilyn," "Mis Tres Hermanas," and most recently on "La Fan."
Mimí Lazo is a Venezuelan actress that has participated in more than 15 films and about 20 telenovelas.
Patricia de León is a former beauty queen, having been crowned as Miss Panamá in 1995. She has presented television shows like "La Corte de Familia" and "La Corte del Pueblo." Patricia has also had guest-starring roles in shows like "Ghost Whisperer," "Cold Case" and "Crossing Jordan" and films like "Fighting For Freedom" and "Bad Ass."
Ninette Ríos is a television presenter from Guatemala that has participated in shows on Telemundo and Univision's "Despierta América."
