Currently "The Riveras" is the only reality show in English about a Mexican-American family in the U.S. Its success is mostly because the public identifies with the family that represents the diversity and the majority of the country's Hispanic population. "I think the success of The Riveras is because we are very real and honest," said Chiquis Rivera, executive producer and star of The Riveras. "We are all going through changes and we support each other, I think my mom would be very proud, even so, we are perfectly imperfect."

"We are excited to present this new unfiltered season full of drama and laughter," said Bilai Joa Silar, senior vice president of programming and production at Universo. "The fans will discover love, secrets, unexpected separations and courageous revelations, and they will witness the strength of the family as it faces challenges and tries to make their dreams come true."

In this season, Chiquis gives free rein to love with her boyfriend Lorenzo Méndez, the vocalist of La Original Banda el Limón. But the idea of commitment generates a lot of anxiety at the same time that her empire continues to grow, appearing on her concert tour and working on her second album entitled "Entre botellas."

Jacqie manages to lose 70 pounds, a physical change that makes her regain her self-confidence and gives her the clarity to make the difficult decision to separate from her husband of five years, while trying to balance her life as a single mother and follow her passion for music.

Mike continues to raise his autistic daughter Luna as a single father, and leaves his comfort zone to break through as stand-up comedian. Jenicka will surprise Mike with the news that she will no longer live with him and that she needs to move back with Chiquis, in addition to embarking on her career as a plus-size model.

Johnny, the youngest of the brothers, graduates from high school and speaks publicly about his sexuality.
