Rodner Figueroa was fired from Univision weeks ago for making unfortunate remarks about Michelle Obama on "El Gordo y La Flaca." Shortly after being dropped by the network that made him a household name, Colgate also axed the television host as his spokesperson for the brand. It looks like Figueroa is already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel because a new rumor has the "Sal y Pimienta" personality returning to the small screen on rival network Telemundo. Javier Ceriana said: "They have given the order to everyone at 'Suelta La Sopa' and all the shows that they cannot talk about him." He also mentioned that the Venezuelan celebrity will be breaking his silence soon in an exclusive interview with María Celeste Arrarás on "Al Rojo Vivo."

Rodner Figueroa is also rumored to make his grand entrance to the network during the Latin Billboards 2015 awards show. It is also rumored that they would be making room for him on "Suelta La Sopa" that runs weekdays opposite "El Gordo y La Flaca" and Sunday nights competing right against "Sal y Pimienta." Figueroa would be competing with the shows that made him a household name if any of these rumors are confirmed to be true. As all these rumors swirl, Rodner Figueroa just wants his name clean as he doesn't want to be known as a racist. He hired a lawyer who sent a letter to the network that says Univision "did not have a problem with my client’s remarks during the delay when it could have exercised its discretion to do so." He also says that the tv station never received a complaint from the White House and it was all a fib to get the host out of there before stirring up more drama behind-the-scenes.

The real reason Figueroa was let go from Univision is said to be because he was rallying up supporters to unionize the talent at the network. This did not bode well to the station bosses and his remark about Michelle Obama represented a perfect opportunity to drop Rodner from the network. After being axed from the network over a racist comment made about the First Lady, Michelle Obama. Now the former "Sal y Pimienta" host is asking for forgiveness in an open letter to Obama. Figueroa doesn't want to be deemed a racist and feels Univision is humiliating him after the turn of events. "I offer my sincerest apologies for a comment that I made about the characterization from a make-up artist that I made about you in the Univision entertainment program 'El Gordo y La Flaca,'" the letter read. "I want to make it clear that I'm not racist and it was directed personally to you, but to the characterization of the artist, that left a lot to be desired. The clip in full context is proof."
