Rumors about Santos sexuality fired up when he released his single “No Tiene La Culpa,” which tells the story of Manuel, a young man who is bullied for being gay. The performer had to face the media, and clarify that his intentions with this song were to expose a reality and share the following message: “Ignorance doesn’t help anyone.”
The 33-year-old singer comes clean about his sexuality and poses next to his son, Alex Damián, on the latest issue of Billboard Magazine. The half Dominican, half Puerto Rican sensation told Billboard: “I’ve always been very reserved. This is one of the reasons why a lot of people have been wondering whether if I’m gay, or not. I am not gay. To put it simply, I just don’t want to be showing my girl around, if I have one. I am not married. I just want to sell music, and that’s also I’m interested in selling.”
