“Fear Is Born” or at least that’s what the first promo poster for NBC’s “Rosemary’s Baby” remake promises. The young and pregnant housewife who fears that her husband, Guy, struggling actor may have made a pact that will have audiences praying for Rosemary’s baby. In the new made for TV mini-series Guy will be portrayed by Patrick J. Adams, who is best known for his role in “Suits.” But Adams will take on a much darker role in the 4-hour adaptation, spilt into two rousing episodes, Adam’s character Guy moves his pregnant wife into an antiquated apartment building where he meets his neighbors, who he at first believes to simply be a bit eccentric. However, as Rosemary’s pregnancy progresses her health deteriorates but Guy’s career as an actor begins to take off, all through seemingly unconnected bouts of good luck. But Rosemary soon begins to discover that Guy’s success, her failing health, and even the conception of her still unborn child all lead back to her neighbors, Roman and Margaux Castevet, played by Jason Isaacs and Carole Bouquet.

While fans are expecting to see a rather close adaption of the hugely popular original inception of Ira Levin’s bets selling horror novel of the same name. There is one major change, instead of being set in New York, and subsequently an old Gothic Revival style apartment building, the remake of “Rosemary’s Baby” is set in Paris. Considering the NBC funding of the mini-series, it is no surprise that the production was filmed on location in Paris. The setting change seems to be a major plot point for NBC, in the newly released promo poster, Zoe Saldana as Rosemary can be seen standing silhouetted against the misty Eiffel Tower. Saldana is sporting a cropped haircut, a symbolic red dress, complete with black pumps. Grasping her nearly there baby bump, Saldana is standing over at her unborn child’s sun light carriage, and looks deep in somber thought. While no release date is provided by the promo poster, it is sure to get fans interested due to its beautiful yet eerie nature. There has been a few promotional tidbits, however, all are mysterious and rather cryptic. Check out the teaser trailer below, but don’t blink, because you’ll miss it.
