Salma Hayek is a beauty and many wonder how the Mexican actress keeps looking fresh and young. Many have wondered if the "Everly" star uses botox, but the 48-year-old beauty has debunked those rumors. "I use an ingredient called Tepezcohuite that's used in Mexico for burn victims because it completely regenerates the skin, and there's no one in the States who is using this ingredient except for us," Hayek told Elle. "Some of the ingredients, when I took them to the American labs, they were like 'Oh my god! How come nobody is using this?' This is why I have no Botox, no peels, no fillings. I'm 48. I will be 49 this year and I only use my creams."

Salma also received tips from her grandmother on how to take care of her skin. "My grandmother taught me how to take care of my skin from a very young age," she said. "When we were growing up, people would burn the seed of this fruit called Mamey. It doesn't exist here, and with the oil, you put it in your lashes to make them grow longer. We use it also on the hair." Salma is busy promoting her new beauty line at CVS, but what does the actress think of beauty? "I live in so many different countries that I get to see so many different kinds of people," she said to New York magazine. "My perception of beauty has become more simple. I have learned to find beauty in the simple things and the essence of the individual — like the way they look at something. I allow myself to find an image pleasant because I say so, not because somebody has told me that is the way it’s supposed to look."

On her beauty routine: "Today I got up at 4. I don’t have a routine because of all the traveling, but it's usually at 6:30 to 7. I have to prepare Valentina for school. But I don’t wash my face in the morning — never, never, never. I never wash my face in the morning, I think it’s bad for your skin — I just moisturize. I really wash my face at night. I think that people tell you to wash your face in the morning because they want to sell more creams. The dream to make this particular moisturizer was to make the best cream that it could be in the market and making it affordable for every woman. I can buy a cream that’s $1,000 and I still use this one. We have secrets in these places that other people don’t know about."
