Selena Gomez has struggled with depression quite a bit due to her lupus diagnosis. The 24-year-old singer, who has been very public about her disease has openly talked about the struggles she’s faced and has often taken time of to get back in the best health. Now it’s being reported that Gomez may be taking the next step and seeking professional help.

According to Radar, the star has just checked into rehab for depression and other issues related to her lupus earlier this month. “The facility is a women’s only facility in a secluded wooded area,” a source told the site. “She’s staying for more than 60 days.”

The star has been silent on social media since cancelling her Revival tour in August. She has claimed anxiety, depression and panic attacks, which are all side effects of lupus to be her reasoning of taking a step back.

While you may not believe the source, the site may be unto something. In 2014, Gomez cancelled a tour and went into rehab. “I got diagnosed with lupus. My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be ok,” she told GQ.

The starlet is indeed proactive about her health and is focused on getting better. In August, Gomez shared her desire to maintain her health. ““I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this. I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

We wish Selena a speedy recovery!
