They say the "apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and Shakira's latest posts on social media can prove it! The Colombian singer shared two adorable photos of her and her oldest son Milan this week, but instead of flaunting a happy selfie, the two are spotted with frowns and sadness in their eyes.

The bittersweet pictures were captured during the Euro Championships round 16 games where Spain and Italy went head-to-head for a shot at the semi-finals. Shakira and Milan were at the stadium supporting their superstar man, Gerard Piqué, who plays central defender for the Spanish National Team. Unfortunately, Spain lost their opportunity to nab the 2016 Euro Cup after being defeated by Italy with a score of 2-0. For the record, Spain is titleholder of the 2012 Euro Championships.

Meanwhile, the "Whenever, Wherever" songstress is spotted at the bleachers having a tough time with Spain's loss. Milan is also having a difficult time. Although Pique's loss was a total bummer, we cannot help but notice the adorable moment when a teary-eyed Milan was being comforted by no other than Shak's compatriot, Carlos Vives.

Yes, Tio Carlos was there to the rescue! According to his Instagram, he and the 39-year-old singer, who are promoting their single "La Bicicleta," were spending time together in France this week. "In Paris with Shak talking about our children and the future of music," he expressed on the social media platform.

During his time in Europe, Vives accompanied the family to the Spain vs. Italy game, but instead of celebrating, he was found comforting Milan. Shak shared the adorable photos on her Instagram earlier this week. "Every day we learn from children. Milan is pure, authentic and passionate about soccer just like his grandfather," reacted Vives to the moment.

Spain's unfortunate loss comes after their national team gained victory after 29-year-old Pique scored a late goal during the Euro 2016 group D football match between Spain and Czech Republic at the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse. By late, we mean almost 90 minutes into the game! Spain won the match 1-0. At that time, Shakira and her youngest son Sasha were celebrating back home! Check out the adorable posts below!
