Back in May, Sofía Vergara took to social media an announcement to her fans. She made public her and her fiancé Nick Loeb’s decision to spend some time apart. “Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart. We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it’s been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now,” she wrote.

Sofía and Nick began their relationship in 2010, but split briefly in 2012. They got together shortly after, and he took the opportunity to propose during the Colombian actress’ 40th birthday bash in Mexico, back in July 2012. Although the couple walked happily through red carpets, they became famous for their public fights. From a party in the Hamptons, to the Miami airport, some of Nick’s friends are happy that Sofía is not in the picture anymore. According to Page Six, Nick’s friends don’t like Sofía.

“She’s a horror,” one pal told the publication. The friend remembered the time when the couple argued on their way to a press conference in Miami Beach back in November 2011, where Loeb said he was not going to run for the US Senate. “She refused to stand in a [photo] with him for the cameras [at the press conference],” the source allegedly said. “She could not stand sharing the limelight.” Things apparently got nastier when they left the event. “I saw her throw his cellphone out a car window on the way to the hotel,” the friend added.

There’s also been a lot of speculation that the couple broke up because Sofía felt Nick was taking advantage of her fame and money to further his business venture, condiment company Onion Crunch. However, the alleged friend says Sofía never invested in it nor she was ever asked to. “He paid for [their] New York and Los Angeles digs,” according to the source. “He paid his own way to [her] awards ceremonies. He lived in a tuxedo.”

Nick’s friends were also fed up with Vergara because she was always on her phone. They claim she was rude during dinners because she would be monitoring emails and social media at all times. “She only joins the conversation if it’s about her,” one said, according to Page Six. “I wouldn’t say ‘bitch’ -- but ... I’m happy to see her go. Good riddance,” another friend allegedly told the publication.
