Fans of the highly anticipated "Super Smash Bros." franchise have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the official launch date for the Wii U version. As of now there is only a launch window set for Holiday 2014, which is pretty useless. That could mean early November or late December. Well now we may actually be able to narrow down this holiday launch window to something more specific.
According to Attack of the Fanboy a Gamestop manager may have finally revealed a definite release date for the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." The news originally comes from My Nintendo News which reports the Gamestop manager contacted the website and said there was news floating around the office that the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." will definitely launch Nov. 21. There you have it! Fans will be able to play the Wii U "Super Smash Bros." title near the end of November.
The Gamestop manager wished to remain anonymous and for obvious reasons but without any real evidence this is still just a rumor. Until Nintendo actually comes out and reveals the release date for the title its safe to assume that none of this is true. However, the date mentioned is logical as its not that far off from the 3DS versions release and it comes out just prior to Black Friday. Plus it'll be out just a few weeks before Christmas making it the perfect option as a X-Mas gift.
The 3DS version of "Super Smash Bros." is set to arrive on consoles Oct. 3.
