Super Smash Bros. Wii U, 3DS

Recently a GameStop manager anonymously revealed that the release date for the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." would be Nov. 21. The date would make a lot of sense seeing how it's right before Black Friday and a few weeks before Christmas and it falls between that Holiday 2014 launch window.

But that isn't all the GameStop manager revealed. According to My Nintendo News the manager overheard in the office that the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." will come bundled with a free Amiibo figure. Nintendo's Amiibo figures were revealed at the company's E3 presentation. They are basically small plastic figurines that interact with certain Wii U games. This is a concept many developers have borrowed from the "Skylanders" series.

The real question however, is what Amiibo will Nintendo give gamers? And will it only come with the Wii U version or also the 3DS? If we had to guess, the company will most likely add the most popular character of any Nintendo franchise, Mario. Or perhaps they'll be different bundles with different figures such as Link, Luigi and Donkey Kong. I guess we'll have to wait and see who Nintendo will add.

Another rumor floating around the interwebs says that Nintendo could possibly be working on a Smash Edition 3DS XL bundle. While this rumor has no substance it does raise a good question. We've seen it in the past with the release of games like "Pokemon X and Y," "Animal Crossing," "Yoshi's Island" and much more. And we know that "Super Smash Bros." is Nintendo's "it" game for 2014, so why wouldn't they make a 3DS XL console bundle?

As of now none of this is set in stone and is really just wishful thinking and rumors for the most part but logically if Nintendo wants to capitolize on "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS both these bundles will happen when the titles release later this year.
