With the release date of "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS approaching news regarding both titles has been plentiful! The games director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed most of the information via his Miiverse page. Some of the highlights revealed include alternate costumes for Zero Suit Samus, new assist trophy and much more.

First up is a picture of Beat and Plant Barrier with Mega Man. Beat is a bird-type combat support robot from the Mega Man series built by Dr. Cossack while Plant Barrier is a shield for Plant Man made of condensed energy shaped like flower petals that spins around the user and protects him from some attacks. Sakurai reveals in his "Pic of the Day" post that these two will be part of Mega Man's custom special moves and that he may be able to use signature boss like moves as well. Next up is the 3DS versions menu to equip powers to your fighter. Sakurai reveals that you can change the way the powers set-up by simply touching and dragging them around.

Sakurai also revealed, "If you hit the X Button, it will randomly fill up the remaining weight allowance with powers. You can keep changing the line-up as many times as you please. The level of a power is proportional to its strength, number of uses, and weight. Organizing them might be easier if you label your favorite powers with a ★."

Nightmare Wizard will appear as an assist trophy and will bring a very interesting aspect to fighting. Sakurai reveals he will engulf the stage in darkness leaving players to fight blind. Check out the post below:

From the ending of "Metroid: Zero Mission," Sakurai has revealed Zero Suit Samus in shorts! The alternate costume will be an all orange ensemble or navy. Samus is wearing what appears to be short shorts and a sports bra along with her rocket boots and gun. Check her out below in the Wii U and 3DS versions.

Lastly Sakurai revealed a new aspect of the 3DS mode Smash Run. He reveals that the treasure chest in the mode are very important and give players boost, powers and parts.

He also reveals that some of these chest are decoys so look out!
