A Taylor Swift lookalike is alleging that she was beaten up because people are jealous of her looks.
Xenna Kristian, 18, claims that she was pulled from her chair and kicked repeatedly while studying in college at Walford and North Shrophsire College in England. She reportedly suffered from a broken jaw, bruising and possible head injuries.
"Some girls at college had started making nasty comments, but it escalated really quickly," said Kristian to Daily Mail UK about her peers and the Swift lookalike broken jaw incident.
"The girl came up behind me and dragged me off my chair by my pony tail, then started kicking me in the face," recalled Kristian. "It just came as a complete shock."
The Swift lookalike broken jaw attack continued until Kristian's friends intervened. The incident was reported to the police.
"I tried to get her off me but my friends had to help. The teachers didn't do anything," said Kristian. "I never expected anything like this to happen. It's not nice to see people being nasty about you."
Earlier this year, before the Swift lookalike broken jaw incident, Kristian began performing as a Taylor Swift lookalike after people made comments about how similar she looked to the Grammy-winning singer. She performed at charity performances and private charities.
"It was the start of last year that somebody started mentioning that I looked like Taylor Swift and it gradually got more frequent," said the aspiring actress to Shrop Shire Star. "I would go out and would just walk to the toilets in a club or walk around the shops and loads of people would come up to me and say 'you really look like her'."
The resemblance is so uncanny that young girls would tell her to leave Styles alone and despite her British accent, people would ask for autographs. But not everyone was a fan of the resemblance.
"Since I started being a lookalike people have been saying stuff," revealed Kristian. "They must be jealous that I'm going off to do something with my life. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I still feel shaken up."
Her mother Pauline recalls the moment she heard about the Swift lookalike broken jaw incident and explains that her daughter never got into trouble before.
"Xenna has never got into a fight or even a scrape before, but she's been getting some remarks since she started the Taylor Swift lookalike thing," said her mother.
