New telenovelas are cooking up in México and we have the latest gossip around these new productions. Find out what they are here! Telemundo/Azteca/Argos

Exciting new telenovelas are cooking in México in Televisa and Azteca. One of these projects could be a remake of "Amor En Silencio." Remember this soap? It starred Erika Buenfil and Omar Fierro back in the late 80s. This melodrama by Eric Vonn has two phases and one of the most remembered scenes of this series was when the villain kills both lead characters on their wedding day. Can you believe that? Buenfil played the mother in the first phase and the daughter in the second phase. For the remake they are eyeing Marimar Vega to take the lead role. The daughter of Gonzalo Vega and sister of "Que Te Perdone Dios" star Zuria Vega, has made her career primarily on Azteca in projects like "Amor Cautivo" and "Emperatriz." Last year she almost made her debut with "La Malquerida," but talks fell through and the role went to Ariadne Diaz.

Talking about Zuria Vega, her husband Alberto Guerra is starting a new project on the Azteca network, titled "Caminos De Guanajuato." In the new primetime telenovela, Guerra will play one of the villains. In this same series Erik Hayser, Iliana Fox and Silvia Sáenz will also star. After Brazilian telenovelas like "Avenida Brasil" and "Rastros De Mentiras" taking over the 9pm hour, Mexican productions are back. "It is a very different project that Azteca has ever done," Fox said during the cast presentation. Hayser who is currently on Telemundo with "Los Miserables" said his character is a little on the bad side. "It's a character on the dark side and after an accident he has, little by little he will be finding himself and coming closer with his family," he said. "Caminos De Guanajuato" will start airing in México sometime in May after "Rastros de Mentiras" ends.

The "Corazón Indomable" and "La Gata" producer is already looking for her next project. Nathalie Lartilleux wants to remake "La Hija Del Jardinero" for Televisa. This telenovela was originally produced by Azteca with Mariana Ochoa from OV7 as the lead actress. The tale is the typical melodrama about a poor young girl that falls in love with a rich and handsome man. No word on who will star in the project, but this is something that Maite Perroni will surely fit in well with. Just saying! Which of these three projects has you more excited to watching soon?
