Thalia Wins Premio Lo Nuestro Award

Thalia was absent from Premio Lo Nuestro 2014 last night, but she still managed to snag an award in the Pop Album Of The Year for "Habítame Siempre." The 42-year-old actress shared an emotional video with her fans of Facebook soon after she was given noticed she took the accolade. "I don't know if it's true or not true about winning Best Pop Album Of The Year at Premios Lo Nuestro," Mrs. Mottola gushed. "If it's true I am very excited and I don't know what to say." I am very moved and very thankful for the opportunity that I've been given to continue expressing myself through music, to continue giving out so much love, stories to tell and to share them with you. The category in which the "María La Del Barrio" actress won the award for was not televised, but the announcement was made shortly after the main ceremony was over. Thalia dedicated her award to her fans which made it a hit in sales. "Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your unconditional support and love!!!", the pop star wrote on her page. "This Premio Lo Nuestro for the Pop Album Of The Year" is dedicated to you, my adorable Thalyfans!!!" "Habítame Siempre" was a commercial success that included renditions of popular Latin songs like "Bésame Mucho," "Con Los Años Que Me Quedan" and "Bésame." The album also featured collaborations with Prince Royce, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Samo, Jesús Navarro, Michael Bublé and Robbie Williams.

The heat was on full blast mode during Premio Lo Nuestro 2014 in Miami with the hottest Latin musical acts under one roof. Prince Royce won the top award of the night as Artist Of The Year. Other winners of the night included Romeo Santos, Gerardo Ortiz, Daddy Yankee, Chino y Nacho, Banda El Recodo and many more. Marc Anthony was one of the top winners of the night winning Song Of The Year for "Vivir Mi Vida," and Album Of The Year and Artist Of The Year in the tropical genre. Anthony also held one of the memorable moments of the night, when he received the Excellence Award for his longevity in the music industry.
