Global music and entertainment platform TIDAL is rapidly expanding their original content and specifically focusing on the growing Latin music segment. Whether it’s the latest episode of an original series or a new podcast, TIDAL releases a variety of content each week from various artists and influencers – many of which are focusing on the intersection of Latin music and culture.

Recently, the platform launched two original video series entitled, “For The Cultura” and “Todos Somos” featuring top acts, such as Yandel, Luis Fonsi, Juanes, C-Kan, Residente, Becky G, Feid and more diving into music, culture, global immigration and much more. In addition, as part of the TIDAL On Air podcast program, fans can listen to shows hosted by Stefi Chacon (“En La Mira”) and Luis Jimenez (“Luis Jimenez”) that feature interviews with outstanding Latin/urban artists and provide a unique, humorous perspective to cultural events.

Continuing throughout the Hispanic Heritage Month, TIDAL will be hosting videos and playlists from a variety of Latinx artists that celebrates their differences along with their commonalties, such as the love of music. With help from the LGBTQ community, the initiative aims to bring together the whole community, regardless of gender, and stand behind a powerful message: We’re Here. We’re American and We’re Not Going Anywhere. Ever.

Releases for this week includes the below and can be found at TIDAL.

9/26 – Mi Terra: Venezuela curated by La Vida Boheme

9/27 – Mi Terra: Colombia curated by Bomba Estéreo

9/28 – Mi Terra: El Salvador curated by Drianu

  • 9/27 - La Santa Cecilia: Amar y Vivir Documentary

For their album, Amar y Vivir, released earlier this year, Grammy-award winning band, La Santa Cecilia went back to the streets of Mexico and recorded the audio as they literally sung in the streets. The album is comprised of covers of some of Latin America's greatest hits.

It's supposed to be a union of the band’s roots--bringing Mexico to the U.S. and vice versa. Also paying homage to the fact that LSC got their start by panhandling in the streets of L.A. Along with the videos, the band recorded a documentary explaining the importance of the album and their duality of being Latino in America.
