Forbes Magazine has released its annual "Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists" list. While the top five names come as little surprise, the staggering amount of wealth continues to steadily grow. Rap's reining moguls return to top the list for 2013.

Sean "Diddy" Combs retains his number 1 spot as the top money maker in the rap game. P. Diddy has an estimated net worth of $580 million. While for P. Diddy it is "all about the Benjamins", how did he amass his astounding wealth? While it may seem crazy, but most of the rappers wealth comes from his non-musical ventures, mostly his deal with Diageo's Ciroc vodka. The deal entitles him to eight-figure annual payouts and a nine-figure windfall if the brand is ever sold.

The number two spot goes to one-half of music's power couple, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, with a net worth $475 million. Jay-Z's millions come from his lucrative deals including his $204 million Rocawear sale in 2007 and his $150 million pact with Live Nation in 2008. He continues to hold stakes in Roc Nation, Carol's Daughter, the Brooklyn Nets and, more significantly, the newly renovated Barclays Center.

Andre "Dr. Dre" Young ranks third on the Forbes list with a net worth of $350 million. Dr. Dre's wealth comes mostly from his Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. A year after selling 51% of the company to handset maker HTC for $300 million in August 2011, Dr. Dre and his partners bought back half of the half they sold in 2012 and their investment continues to soar in value due to Beats' whopping 65% market share of the premium headphone market.

The fourth spot goes to Bryan "Birdman" Williams, his Cash Money-Young Money recording empire has massed him a net worth of $150 million. His record label has the money making acts of Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Birdman has also launched an YMCMB clothing line.

Last but certainly not least is Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson with a net worth of $125 million, 50's fortune was amassed through sales of his music, merchandise, video games and books in the wake of his smash debut Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Although the rapper also has a business mind and some of his net worth comes from his sale of his stake in VitaminWater in 2007.
