With 130,000 visitors set to descend upon the 44th San Diego Comic-Con it’s no surprise people are excited. The annual celebration of things geeky and pop culture is set to have its biggest year yet, with the gathering surpassing the capacity of the enormous San Diego Convention Center and has spilled over into Petco Park and downtown’s Gaslamp quarter. With all of the attractions, panels and of course costumes, Comic-Con can tend to be a bit overwhelming, but let’s not forget the crème de la crème of the event -- the TV shows. While admittedly the star of the SDCC are the comics, but with more TV shows being adapted from novels and comic books, there is an ever-growing interest in this massive TV panels. These TV panels will include cast, crew, and are set to premiere some never before seen footage. Check out our list of the top TV shows at San Diego Comic-Con that we are looking forward to seeing!

The CW: While The CW may be masters of the teen vampire game, they are also breaking new ground in terms of comic book adaptations. The CW’s “Arrow” has just celebrated an extremely popular second season, and now DC comics and The CW are set to partner up again with “The Flash” and “Gotham.” SDCC will be the premiere event to see DC Comics push into TV via the CW panels, with a three-hour long event beginning on Saturday night. The event will include pilot screenings of both “The Flash” and “Gotham” which are set to release this fall. The cast of both “Gotham” and “The Flash” will make an appearance, as well as the cast of “Arrow” and “Constantine” which will celebrate with separate screenings and panels. “Arrow” star Stephen Amell will serve as the host for the DC Comic and The CW extravaganza. Halo: Nightfall: The “Halo: Nightfall” TV series is supposedly going to bridge the gap between Halo 4 and Halo 5 and who better than Steven Spielberg to do it. With the help of producer Ridley Scott, the new digital series is set to expand the Halo universe for gamers and viewers alike. However many fans voiced concerns following the recent shutdown of Xbox Entertainment Studios, but IGN reported that the Halo projects are moving forward and SDCC will serve as the perfect platform to provide some new information, and may even give fans their first sneak peek at the forthcoming projects. Marvel TV: Similar to DC Comics recent expansion into television adaptations, Marvel is making their place known in the TV sphere. While their “Daredevil” series on Netflix won’t be premiering until next year, Marvel is still a force to be reckoned with at this year’s SDCC. Returning to the TV panel will be “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” and the successful NBC series, will be joined by a brand new series “Marvel’s Agent Carter” which in addition to premiering this fall, features Hayley Atwell reprising her Captain America role. Fans are expecting to see news on Season 2 of SHIELD and the premiere of Agent Carter; however what they are really hoping for is a small sneak peek at “Daredevil” which only just began filming in New York. Game of Thrones: Nothing like a little “Game of Thrones” speculation to get the blood flowing, SDCC will once again be hosting a huge “Game of Thrones” TV panel. And while GRRM has been something of Comic-Con royalty for the past 20 years, the HBO series has skyrocketed “Game of Thrones” into a whole different stratosphere. Following Season 4’s finale in June and the highly anticipated fifth season, which is said to changed the entire composition of the series, fans will most certainly experience long lines attempted to catch a sneak peek look at the world of Westeros. The Walking Dead: Another oldie but goodie, “The Walking Dead” is set to take SDCC by storm, following a cliff hanger ending in Season 4 at Terminus, TWD fans are desperate for answers. Similar to “Game of Thrones” in it’s adaptation for a pre-existing series, many fans have endless speculation and spoiler theories that will leave your head jumbled. But all I really want to know about is the fate of Glenn. Full information on the “The Walking Dead” panel below:
