BBC2 Controller Kim Shillinglaw confirmed that the footage for the final three episodes of "Top Gear" Season 22 will definitely find its way to the air. Secondly, Shillingshaw also confirmed that "Top Gear" will return next year in a brand new format.

“There is no way I would not want the available material not to be seen by viewers,” said Kim Shillinglaw. “Top Gear is a show that I love, I genuinely watch it and I always have done.”

So what sort of new format does Kim Shillinglaw have in mind? Apparently, "Top Gear" may get female presenters!

“I have done a lot with female presenters when I used to work in science. That was something that across the piece that I really wanted to tackle. It’s a really open book on that. We will definitely look at women but it is not the driving priority. I have never approached an individual show thinking that is the way you cast it.

“It’s not been an easy year but it’s kind of creatively exciting what we are going to do, what we have to do. We have got to move the show on. That’s what we are going to do.”

So what about Jeremy Clarkson? We've all heard it before: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. That's exactly what former "Top Gear" presenter Jeremy Clarkson is doing since his contract with the BBC was terminated following the fracas with BBC producer Oisin Tymon.

After a month away, Clarkson is ready to get back in the game. While Jezza admits that there's a zero percent chance for him to return to BBC and "Top Gear," the journalist announced that the end of his BBC career is hardly the end at all.

"I have lost my baby but I shall create another," said Jeremy Clarkson on his plans to create Top Gear rival show. "I don't know who the other parent will be or what the baby will look like, but I cannot sit around any more organising my photograph album."

"Let's stop being silly and pick up the pieces and start again," Clarkson said in the Sunday Times. "I just know I'm going to do another car show."
