While we may be saying goodbye to "Vampire Diaries" for a few weeks, it seems like Katherine Pierce may be saying goodbye forever. Elena's "evil" twin may not be hanging around Mystic Falls for too much longer, in the final scene of episode 10, "Fifty Shades Of Grayson" fans were left with a serious cliff hanger as Katherine dropped to the ground, after seemingly suffering a heart attack. While we don't what exactly happen to the usually vinegar filled vampire, we do know that after she was drained of the cure by Silas, she came back to life, only to begin to age aggressively. Now it seems like Katherine's days are numbered, but for real this time.

In the promo video for episode 11, "500 Days of Solitude" Katherine is shown bed ridden, executive producer Julie Plec revealed "death is knocking at the window in the 100th episode." The 100th episode of "Vampire Diaries" will serve as a backdrop for both the Mystic Falls crew and the fans to say goodbye to their favorite doppelgänger. In addition to alluding to Katherine's ailing state of health, the promo video shows, Damon, Jeremy, Elena, Caroline and Bonnie all enjoying a round of shots in Katherine's memory. Instead of recounting happy memories regarding Katherine, Jeremy, Elena and Caroline all remember the times the vampire attempted to kill them or was successful in doing so. To which Katherine replies, "Oops," with her sickly-sweet grin.

And while the memorial serves as both a way to remember Katherine and a way to move on from the havoc she has reeked in their life, we are assuming that the group will soon discover the reason they are still together is because of Katherine and her selfish antics. Perhaps the friends soon realize that instead of getting drunk and letting Katherine die, they should figure out a way to save her. And after listening to Julie Plec talk more about the 100th episode we are assuming it gets much more emotional then a few drunken toasts, in fact, Plec teased that Katherine may survive! "I'm not going to say if death is successful or with whom," she also added that "Vampire Diaries" fans are in for "a nice, big, juicy cry and a nice, big, juicy shocker!"

The "Vampire Diaries" returns with the 100th episode on Thursday January 23, 2014 at 8pm. Watch the promo video below and let us know what you think will happen in "500 Years of Solitude."
