The presidential election is only a week away and both candidates are putting feet to the pavement to garner as much support as possible. While Hilary Clinton has been on a roll with celebrity support, the Democratic presidential nominee has become a part of history with her latest supporter.

According to the LA Times, Hilary Clinton is a very lucky woman as she has just gained an endorsement from a prestigious publication. Variety magazine has made history by endorsing the Democratic presidential candidate, making it the first time the entertainment trade magazine has made a presidential endorsement in its 111th-year history.

“We didn’t want to sit on the sidelines and come down on the wrong side of history,” explained co-editors-in-chiefs Claudia Eller and Andrew Wallenstein on why the magazine was bucking tradition.

The site reports that the magazine acknowledge's Clinton's experience , temperament and her public service record "fighting for the rights of women, children, families, the disabled, farmers, veterans, and the LGBTQ community" in making its endorsement and called her "not only the best candidate for the job, but the only candidate."

The publication that is known to be very outspoken when it comes to discussing hot topicshad a mouthfull to say about her opponent, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The magazine views trump as a joke, and that his "run for the presidency can be viewed as nothing more than a ploy to land another Tv deal or launch a new cable channel so he can continue spewing his sexist, racist views."

While Trump is usally quick at responding to backlash, he has been quite about the announcement-at least for now.
