OK. So after last night's stellar performances on "The Voice," we may have a new frontrunner team. Team Adam Levine looked pretty awesome last night as compared to Team Christina Aguilera for once. Will Champlin sang "At Last" by Etta James and dominated the entire night. We were worried for him at first because it seemed like a girly song choice, but he definitely rocked it. And he landed at No. 8 on the overall iTunes charts Tuesday Morning. The other coaches -- Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green -- also had their moments with each of their artists. But, every one of Adam's singers had a breakout moment last night, whereas Team Xtina's Matthew Schuler -- who has been leading the competition all the while -- flopped for once. So, to answer our headline question: No, we don't think ANY of Team Adam's singers are going home tonight.
Unfortunately, it may be that Cee Lo's one and only singer left, Caroline Pennell, may be in bottom three again. The two of them conspired to give her a moment this week. She sang "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine and it was a solid performance but perhaps not enough to become a "big moment" for her. Team Blake's Cole Vosbury continued on doing well on the iTunes charts but Ray Boudreaux came in dead last with "Gimme Some Lovin'" by Spencer Davis Group. This could be the first week are wrong with our predictions, however, because some of the usual frontrunners had an off week, while others who had been hiding in the shadows seemed to have breakout moments. Team Xtina's Matthew's past performances will need to carry him into the next round of "The Voice" competition because based on last night's performance, he's going home.
Last Night the show opened up with a performance by Robin Thicke performing his new song "Feel Good." Then the Top 8 kicked off their performances. There were also a couple of group performances. Ray, Cole, Tessanne and will sang Matisyahu's "One Day" and Caroline, Jacquie, Matthew and James sang "Lego House" by Ed Sheeran. In terms of top performances we had a couple of favorites. 1. From Team Adam: Will Champlin "At Last" by Etta James, 2. From Team Adam: Tessanne Chin "Underneath It All" by No Doubt and 3. From Team Cee Lo: Caroline Pennell "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine. Watch "The Voice" on Mondays at 8/7c p.m. and Tuesdays at 9/8c p.m. on NBC.
