Sawyer Fredericks is The Voice's Season 8 Winner! Congratulations! NBC

“The Voice” Season 8 finale was an unbelievable night full of excitement, suspense, and amazing performances delivered by the four finalists, former contestants, and some of the greatest music stars. Sawyer Fredericks, Koryn Hawthorne, Joshua Davis, and Meghan Linsey poured their hearts out on stage in order to become The Voice. The 20 finalists, who got together on stage to perform a medley of Fun’s latest hits, opened the night.

The show began with the “bring back” round, in which the four finalists pick some of the eliminated finalists to come back on stage and perform one last song with them. Joshua Davis picked Brian Johnson, Deanna Johnson, Corey Kent White, and Kimberley Nichole, to combine their talents and perform “She Talks to Angels” made famous by The Black Crowes.

The first celebrity of the night to grace the stage was Billboard Award winner Meghan Trainor performing her smash hit “Dear Future Husband.” Following Trainor’s pristine performance, Koryn Hawthorne returned to the stage, joined by “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, to perform “I’d Rather Go Blind.”

Next on the “bring back” round was Meghan Linsey, who brought Sarah Potenza’s powerful talent back, and together they rocked the stage with an interpretation of Janis Joplin’s “Piece of my Heart.”

Judge Adam Levine never misses a chance to showcase Maroon 5’s latest singles, and this time they got up on stage and kept the party going as they performed their summer single “This Summer is Gonna Hurt.” Country music superstar Luke Bryan performed his new single “Kick the Dust Up.”

The great music just kept coming, next on stage was Sawyer Fredericks performing next to music legend John Fogerty, which was one of the most memorable moments of the night. Another epic moment happened when Nine-time Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow joined finalist Joshua Davis on stage.

For her “bring back” performance, Koryn Hawthorne brought back the “Super Girl Group.” Finalists Tonya Boyd-Cannon, India Carney, Mia Z, and Caitlin Caporale performed the female version of “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars.

World acclaimed singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was one more of the music superstars to charm the stage during the 2-hour finale introducing his new single “Photograph.” Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage, this time next to finalist Megan Linsey and together they brought the house down with their performance of “Invincible.”

Sawyer Fredericks brought back the youngest contestants of the season for his “bring back” performance. Finalists Mia Z, Lowell Oakley and Brooke Adee delivered a formidable interpretation of “Lie to Me.”

The four judges took the stage for the last performance of the night, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, and Adam Levine honored the late B.B. King with their performance of “The Thrill is Gone,” which was probably the best performance of the night. The judges definitely showed the audience why they are where they are.

Finally, the moment we were all waiting for…in fourth place: Koryn Hawthorne, in third place: Joshua Davis, in second place: Meghan Linsey. And the winner of The Voice is…Sawyer Fredericks!
