Next season of “The Voice” might bring a few more changes that we weren’t expecting. Sources close to the show told TMZ that Christina Aguilera won’t be coming back for season 7, and as her replacement, NBC casted No Doubt’s front woman, Gwen Stefani. Producers began looking for someone to fill Aguilera’s chair when she announced she was pregnant back in February.

Although they wanted Christina to stay during the pregnancy, she would’ve been too far along (8 months approximately) by the time battle rounds began, and between the new baby and work, Christina ultimately chose the baby. The singer was the one who bowed out after realizing it would’ve been too much for her. However she will be coming back to her chair for season 8. The network has yet to comment on those rumors.

In other “The Voice” news, Adam Levine is another one who’s apparently thinking of taking some time off the show. According to Hollywood Life, a source close to the show said, “It is all his decision if he wants to take the time off or not.” Add to this that Cee Lo Green is not returning to the show, and Pharell Williams is the official replacement for next season. However, after all this possible and official changes, there’s one thing that remains constant: Blake Shelton. And we couldn’t be more grateful!
