AMC's post-apocalyptic zombie thriller "The Walking Dead" will reportedly be adding two new characters to its seventh season that are not from the comicbook series.

Talking with TV Line, Jon Ausiello named two new characters coming to Season 7 of the zombie drama and from the description, these new roles are not from "The Walking Dead" comics. Ausiello revealed the characters will be introduced before the midseason finale and gives brief descriptions for both parts. Ausiello said:

"Episode 6 will introduce two new characters who don’t sound to me like anyone in particular from the comic-book series. (Correct me if I’m wrong — and we both know you will.) Naomi is a grandmotherly type who, having lost so many loved ones, is now willing to do whatever it takes not to have to bury any more. (Maybe she’s being introduced to counsel Carol (Melissa McBride) about the awful necessities of the post-apocalyptic world… ) On the flip side is Jennie, a sunny-side-up kinda teenager — oh, Caaarl! — who sounds a lot like Beth (Emily Kinney) 2.0, 'kind, with a world-weary toughness.'"

Ausiello's news came from an unnamed source and AMC has yet to confirm if it is true or not, but his sources have nearly always proven to be right in the past so it is likely Jennie and Naomie will appear in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the series is working hard to keep spoilers from getting out. In an attempt to keep the Season 7 premiere shrouded in mystery, The Hollywood Reporter said that all 11 cast members involved in the Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) murder scene have each had their death scene filmed.

The 11 characters involved include Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Christian Serratos as Rosita, and Ross Marquand as Aaron.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC in October. If the network follows trend we will likely see the series premiere early October.
