Wii U release date coming in the fall for "Watch Dogs." Ubisoft/Watch Dogs

While gaming platforms like the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will be able to play Ubisoft’sWatch Dogs” May 27, Wii U gamers are still waiting for a release date. Now according to Uplay Store a listing for the title on Wii U console shows it being slated for release this fall.

The Wii U release date delay was announced February with no specific details as to why. However, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained the extra time will be used to "focus the team's resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.”

While this seems like good news, the Uplay Store isn’t the most reliable source. Especially seeing how the Australian store still has “Watch Dogs” Wii U release date as May 27.

“Watch Dogs” was originally slated for release November 2013. The company pushed the release date along with a statement saying they would "not compromise on quality.”

Ubisoft has yet to announce an official release date for the Wii U console but we will keep you updated on the news as it develops.
