Shakira continues to impress fans smashing it during her appearance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards! The 37-year-old singer performed "Empire" off of her self-titled album. The powerful performance was full of fire and lights every time the chorus hit. "The Voice" coach wore a sexy one-piece suit and got close to her fans, singing to them directly. Shakira showed off her rock star side reminding us of her roots. The "Can't Remember To Forget You" hitmaker walked the red carpet in an equal hot blue dress showing off her legs. Opening up the night were Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez performing "We Are One," the official theme song to the FIFA World Cup. The highly energizing number was full of lights and color with flags of the nations participating in the tournament flashing in huge screens behind them. Mr. Worldwide kicked off the show with a white suite, while J.Lo wore a sexy one-piece showing off her legs and power moves. This is not the last time we are going to see the "American Idol" judge as she will later take the stage to perform a new single off of her upcoming album and receive the Icon Award! She will not only be the first Latin personality to receive the honor, she will be the first woman to do so as well, following legendary acts like Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince. The Latin infused night included J.Lo receiving a massive recognition, honoring her career in music with the Icon Award! She was the first woman to have the honor following the likes of Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince. "Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation," said Larry Klein, producer of the award show. "We are thrilled to honor her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage." Jennifer Lopez took the night away again as the singer premiered her new single "First Love" off of her upcoming studio album and will also be joined by Pitbull to perform the FIFA World Cup theme song "We Are One." The Top Latin Artist category that will be awarded tonight as well and features Marc Anthony, Gerardo Ortiz, Jenni Rivera, Prince Royce and Romeo Santos will be competing for the win.
