2013 has been a wonderful year for Instagram and the millions of people who love it. With so many precious captured selfies and food pictures it’s kind of something you want to cherish, and now you can. The Instagram-tracking service, Statigram, released a new tool that unearths the five most popular photos posted to your Instagram account in 2013 and turns them into a short video. It measures popularity by likes, plain and simple, showing the count over each pic as the slideshow progresses.

The always-talented Susmita Baral gave us access to her Statigram ‘Best of 2013’ video to show you all just what a these awesome videos look like. Yes, she's fully aware they're all food pictures. And yes, she's working on that. So how does Statigram work?

If you would like to make one of your own it’s quite simple, just follow these directions. Head over to Statigram’s website and sign-in using your Instagram credentials. You’ll get a dialog box asking you to authorize Statigram on your Instagram account. Click on the green “Authorize” button. Next, in the “stats must be calculated based on” option, select your timezone, and also enter your email address where information will be sent to and that is it! It may take some time because of the popularity of the service. **NOTE use an email address you use frequently as the video will be sent there.
