St. Patrick's Day is on Tuesday, March 17 this year. Traditionally, the popular Irish holiday celebrates Ireland's patron saint, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. Today, the holiday is celebrated in many parts of the world and, at least in the United States, has become a reason to get ridiculously inebriated.

It's always a joy to celebrate a holiday by sharing a couple pints with your friends. Of course, who can forget the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade? The parade will be held at 11 a.m. on March 17 and will begin at 44th Street and 5th Avenue. The parade will march up, past St. Patrick's Cathedral at 50th Street, before arriving at the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street. The parade is expected to finish around 4:30-5 p.m.
