Besides the Streep Vs. Trump feud, there’s more to say and to know about the Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Award.

This is an honorary Golden Globe Award granted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment. The first award was given to American filmmaker Cecil Blount DeMille on February 21, 1952. The honor is named after the legendary American director. DeMille is acknowledged as a founding father of the cinema of the United States and the most commercially successful producer-director in film history. Titles like “The Squaw Man” from 1914 or “The Ten Commandments” from 1923 gave him big success and the name that will be remembered forever especially because of this particular Golden Globe honor that holds his name.
