Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, made some pretty bold statements to CBS' Charlie Rose. The third richest man in America talked about his late friend Steve Jobs and the future of Apple.

"My best friend for 25 years," Ellison told Rose when he started to talk about the late Apple founder. "He was brilliant, he was our Edison, he was our Picasso, he was an incredible inventor."

Charlie then plants the question as to what will happen to Apple now that Steve is gone and Larry says: “Well, we already know. We saw, we conducted the experiment. I mean, it’s been done. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. We saw Apple without Steve Jobs. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. Now, we’re gonna see Apple without Steve Jobs. He's irreplaceable and I don't see how they can ... they will not be nearly as succesful."

Ellison is referring to the time that Jobs was ousted by the board members from the company he founded, only to come back years later with a line of products that would revolutionize the tech world and position Apple as a leader in the industry.

What do you think? Without the vision of Steve Jobs, does Apple have a bright or dark future ahead?
