"NCIS" Season 11 will come with some major changes, as Cote de Pablo has announced that she is leaving the show. That actress was reportedly offered a great deal of money by CBS to stay on the show. In light of the news of Cote de Pablo's departure, many have been wondering the fate of her character, former Israeli Mossad leader Ziva David. After all, her predecessor was killed off from the show.
Fortunately, fans can let a sigh of relief, as executive producer Gary Glasberg told TVLine that Ziva will not be killed off in her final two episodes of the "NCIS".
"It's not what this character deserves," executive producer Gary Glasberg said. "Also, [we killed off] Sasha Alexander's Kate character [back in Season 2] and I like the idea of doing this one a little different and respecting who [Ziva] is."
One thing that can be said is that Ziva's flirty and potential-love story with Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) will be addressed before her departure. Weatherly revealed this in an interview, suggesting that the two characters will definitely address their feelings, if not take it a step further.
"Even if you're a casual viewer of the NCIS, even if you've only seen one marathon on USA, this season premiere and the first couple episodes you're going to want to check out," Michael Weatherly told E! News. "Even if you hate Tiva [Tony + Ziva], even if you love the Tiva, if you're ambivalent, it's like a big Christmas stocking on Christmas morning."
