William Levy might be returning to telenovelas sooner than expected, according to the latest rumor leaked from the "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" production. Mexican radio host Flor Rubio mentioned on her talk show "Formula Espectacular" that Levy is being considered to replace Pablo Montero on the series that stars Silvia Navarro and Jorge Salinas. Juan Osorio, Televisa producer, gave Montero an ultimatum after he failed to show up to a location to tape his scenes. The latest news is that Osorio might not be happy with him and doesn't want to face any more challenges with production if he were to not show up one more time. William is currently on a promotional tour for his latest Hollywood flick "Addicted," and he was recently asked if he would come back to Mexican soaps. "For now we are focused in film and we are thinking about that," he said. "Further down the line, God willing, I would like to do something here in México, I enjoy México, I love México."

Juan Osorio is known to cause controversy with cast shifts and changes because it causes people to tune in to the telenovela which means viewership would increase. Currently "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" is ranked No. 1 in México beating out telenovelas like "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" and "La Malquerida." What is a producer to do to gain even more ratings to secure his top spot position? Create rumors! Osorio is known to do this. When he was filming "Tormenta En El Paraiso," he killed off the main protagonist Sara Maldonado only to revive her a couple episodes later. Rumors pointed to Maldonado being difficult to work with, but the actress later denied that claim and said that it was all planned by production and she was forced to stay mum during her alleged exit. On his last telenovela "Porque El Amor Manda" he fired Jorge Aravena, due to alleged differences with Fernando Colunga, which have all been denied. That time the exit was permanent.

Levy is a "protagonista" and seeing him take on another role that was initiated by a different actor doesn't seem plausible. If William would return to telenovelas it would be in a project he would star in right from the beginning. For now we'll have to go with the rumor and see what happens. If Montero exits the telenovela we would see those scenes on-air during the next couple of weeks. "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" tells the story of Ana, a woman struggling to make ends meet. She works as an erotic dancer in a gentlemen's club and lands a job as a nanny for seven children. Ana soon starts falling in love with her boss, but an evil gold-digging woman will not leave the path so clear for her as she is interested in him as well. The telenovela currently airs on Univision at 8pm ET/PT.
