Microsoft has announced the game lineup for Xbox Games with Gold in May and the company is bringing some fantastic titles to players this month.

Xbox One gamers will see the sequel to 2008s "Defense Grid: The Awakening" -- "Defense Grid 2." "Defense Grid 2" is a next-level tower defense game that requires lots of strategy and offers dynamic content where gameplay is constantly changing. Gamers will also be able to explore spooky time-traversing landscapes in the RPG adventure title "Costume Quest 2."

Xbox 360 gamers will be able to play the sequel to the BAFTA-award winning "Race Driver: GRID." In "Grid 2" players will be able to experience jaw-dropping scenary and massively incredible damage in the racing title. 360 gamers will also get the puzzle game "Peggle" where they can test their skills in 75 Grand Master Challenges and face off against friends in the 4-player Xbox Live multiplayer mode.

Additionally, one of April 2016's Xbox One freebies, "Sunset Overdrive," will remain free until May 15.

While this month is not as exciting as April's lineup where we seen titles like "The Wolf Among Us," "Dead Space" and "Saints Row 4" it is still free games and why complain over something free.

Titles are available as free downloads for qualifying Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available. Becoming a Gold member starts as cheap as $4.99 a month. Aside from the Games with Gold aspect from the membership users will also get multiplayer gaming, exclusive deals and discounts and more. Check out more info on Xbox Live Gold membership here.
