Puerto Rican reggaeton sensation Yandel, member of the famous duo “Wisin & Yandel,” was involved in a four-wheeler accident in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, while he was shooting a spot for “La Voz... México,” where he is one of the main coaches. “After an accident while driving an ATV after filming several spots for 'La Voz ... México,' Llandel Veguilla, best known as Yandel, was hospitalized. He’s in stable condition and recovering, but he will remain in the hospital for 48 hours in observation. Him, his family and his team are very grateful for all your prayers and messages of support,” said Armando Lozano, Yandel’s manager, in a statement to Latin Times.

The accident happened after the singer lost control in a curve and his vehicle flipped over. Yandel remains in observation, but doctors say he’s looking great. He has a few bruises but nothing major, however, they’re keeping him to discard any concussions. According to his manager, he’s fine. He’s in pain but he’s in great spirits and can’t wait to go home. “He’s in the middle of a promotional tour of his new record and he still has some performances scheduled with Wisin. They’re traveling very soon to Guadalajara and Mérida, that’s why he wants to get better as soon as possible,” Lozano said.

Although doctors feel positive about Yandel’s recovery, there’s no word yet on whether he will be back on set of “La Voz .... México.” This third season of the Mexican version of the acclaimed NBC show “The Voice” will come to an end on Dec. 15. Besides Wisin & Yandel, other coaches are David Bisbal, Marco Antonio Solís and Alejandra Guzmán with Jacqueline Bracamontes as the hostess.
