Gloria and Emilio Estefan are counting down the days for the debut of "On Your Feet!" ---a Broadway musical, directed by two-time Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, which portrays the successful life of the Latino power couple.

“The show is a love story,” said Gloria to Broadway Direct. “It’s a love story between Emilio and me; a love story to this country, as immigrants; and a love story to music, which has been a saving grace in our lives," she added of the musical that focuses on Gloria's life from her teen years to age 32, when she survived a gruesome tour bus crash that nearly paralyzed her.

According to Gloria, portraying her in a musical is quite challenging. “You need to be bilingual and able to sing both pop and Latin music, which require totally different timing. Beyond that, you have to be able to act this deep," she said of a role that only actress Ana Villafañe (Gloria) impeccably nailed.

But despite the plot and casting of the musical, Gloria ---who is the most successful English/Spanish crossover artist of all time--- stated that she has high expectations of the show. "I want to inspire people, move them emotionally and, of course, entertain them!," she said, adding that she the song selection in the show will also be a surprise for the audience.

“On Your Feet!” will begin previews on Broadway on October 5, 2015, at the Marquis Theatre and the production will officially open on November 5.
