Al Pacino and his Israeli girlfriend Meital Dohan have ended their two-year relationship. The 43-year-old woman cited their big age gap as the main reason for their split saying it is “hard to be with an old man.”

The Daily Mail reported that the separation was confirmed by Dohan during her recent interview with La’Isha magazine. The rumors of their split started when the 79-year-old “Godfather” actor attended the Oscars without his partner earlier this month. As savage as it may sound at least Dohan did not try to be a hypocrite and admitted that she broke up with him because he is old and stingy.

“It’s hard to be with a man so old, even Al Pacino and I tried to deny it, but now he is already an elderly man, to be honest,” she told the magazine. “So even with all my love, it didn't last.”

Meital Dohan was also asked about her memories with Al Pacino and the gifts he has given her. The Israeli actress only laughed and candidly suggested that he got nothing from him in the two years that they have been together.

“He only bought me flowers,” she said. “How can I say politely that he didn’t like to spend money?”

Her statement about the money led to speculations that Dohan is a gold digger. They see her as someone who is after his fortune and since he is apparently not spending on her, she dumped him and admitted that he is too old for her.

Despite the speculations, the actress stressed that she loved Al Pacino. She added that she’s happy to have known the actor and would like to remain friends with him.

“I had a fight with him and left him recently, but of course I really love and appreciate him, and I was glad to be there for him when he needed me, and to be a part of his legacy,” Standard Insider quoted Dohan as saying. “It’s an honor for me. I’m glad this relationship happened between us, and hope we remain good friends.”

Al Pacino and Meital Dohan met at a Hollywood afterparty following a movie screening. They were last seen together in October last year when they attended the premiere of “The Irishman” in Los Angeles.
