UPDATED: OFFICIAL CAUSES OF HER DEATH REVEALED, ACTRESS DIED OF A CARDIOPULMONARY ARREST DUE TO STRUGGLES WITH ANOREXIA AND BULIMIA
A man named Antonio D´Agostino, who was with Karla Álvarez at the time of her death is claiming he was the actress' husband. Álvarez' father, Carlos Álvarez is saying the man is a fraud. Agostino, who claims that the pair married in February this year, told the press "I'm her huasband." He also revealed that "I was with her when she died, she choked on some quesadillas that she was eating."
Antonio D'Agostino has become a mysterious force in the tragic death of the 41 year old actress. Actor Felipe Nájera refuted D'Agostino's claims, saying "he wasn't her husband but he was her partner." Najera was one of the few colleagues to attend Alvarez' funeral. Meanwhile the Álvarez' father Carlos stated "Antonio is a fraud. Don't believe him, they are just lies."
Karla Álvarez, 41, died of an aparent respiratory failure on Friday evening. Felipe Nájera offered yet another version of events: "I never knew that they had married, but I did know them as a couple." Antonio D'Agostino's Facebook account was flooded with questions about his relationship to the troubled actress. He later retracted his statement: "We weren't married: we were friends."
