Paul Walker's death in a tragic car accident on Saturday morning has come as a great shock. More shocking still may be the fact that he wasn't actually driving. The Daily Mirror is reporting that in fact it was Walker's friend Roger Rodas who was driving the Porsche GT at the time of the horrific crash. Rodas was a race car driver with Pirelli World Challenge. He and Walker had been friends since 2003 and ran a race car shop together.

Paul Walker and Roger Rodas had in fact raced each other in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. Starting in 2007, Rodas had also become Paul Walker's financial advisor. There has been no suggestion that anyone was to blame when the Porsche GT lost control and smashed into a tree before bursting into flames. Both Rodas, 38, and Walker, 40, were pronounced dead at the scene of the horrific accident.
