The untimely death of actor Paul Walker has been making headlines since the actor died on Saturday, while he was a passenger in his friend and financial adviser Roger Roads' 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. According to authorities, Roads was driving the automobile when it hit a light pole and tree, and then exploded into flames. They have since revealed that the driver, Rodas, was dead on impact and Walker was tragically still alive when the car burst into flames. As such, the cause of death determined from the actor's autopsy were the "combined effects" of the burns and injury of the initial accident and then consequent fire.
Many have come out to release a statement about the actor's death. "At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on 'Fast & Furious 7' for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise," Universal Pictures said in a statement, adding that they would donate "a percentage of proceeds from the upcoming home entertainment release of 'Fast & Furious 6'" to Walker's charity. Tyrese took to Instagram: "My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real. Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real." Meanwhile, actress Michelle Rodriguez took to Facebook to post a picture with the caption, "I'm gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and Im gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to."
One person who was silent about his death was Paul Walker's love interest in the "Fast and Furious" franchise: Jordana Brewster. But the actress has since released a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Paul was an enormous presence in my life for the past fourteen years," said Jordana Brewster. "While many would be satisfied with material success it made Paul more convinced of the need to help others. He never spoke of his immense generosity or philanthropic endeavors unless I prodded, however. This is what made Paul, Paul. He lived with integrity, humanity and humility and seemed most happy when talking about his daughter, Meadow,” she continued. “I don’t know anyone who lived each moment more fully and loved life more than Paul; making his loss all the more heartbreaking.”
